Beat the dealer on your way to 21

BLACKJACK
AT ALL INN CASINO

basic rules

Blackjack - Classic

Game Rules
  • Game Variations: Classic and Pontoon
  • Opponent: You play against the dealer (the casino)
  • Number of tables:
  • Minimum bet: CZK 200
  • Maximum bet: CZK 10,000
    * Custom limits available for VIP players

Blackjack is played against the dealer. Your aim is to get closer to 21 than the dealer does—without going over.

Card Values
  • Aces – Count as 1 or 11, whichever benefits you most
  • Face cards (J, Q, K) – Worth 10
  • Number cards (2–10) – Face value

Initial Deal

At the start of the game, the player places a bet on one or more boxes. The dealer then deals one face-up card (Upcard) to each player and to themselves. Players then receive a second card and, based on the total value of their cards, decide how they want to proceed. The dealer draws their second card only after all players have completed their turns, and continues drawing according to the rules of the game.

Player Choices
  • Hit – Take another card
  • Stand – Keep your current total
  • Double Down – Double your bet, take exactly one more card, and then stand
  • Split – If your first two cards match, split them into two hands. If splitting Aces, you receive only one more card for each Ace—Blackjack not possible
  • Surrender – Give up after the initial deal and get half your bet back—available only if the dealer’s upcard isn’t an Ace
  • Insurance – A side bet available if the dealer’s upcard is an Ace—protects against a dealer Blackjack

Dealer Rules
  • The dealer must draw cards until reaching a total of 17 or higher.
  • If the dealer busts (goes over 21), all remaining players win.

Possible Outcomes
  • Player wins if:

      • Your total is higher than the dealer’s without exceeding 21

      • The dealer busts while you don’t

      • You have Blackjack (Ace + 10-value) and the dealer doesn’t

  • Dealer wins if:

      • You bust (go over 21)
      • Dealer’s total is higher than yours, 21 or under
      • Dealer has Blackjack and you don’t

  • Push:
      •  If you and the dealer tie, your bet is returned

Beginner Tips
  • Playing with Aces
An Ace + 7 (soft 18) is strong—usually stand on totals of 17 or more.
  • Watch the dealer:
When the dealer shows 2–6, they’re more likely to bust—feel freer to take calculated risks. (exceeding 21), you can feel safer taking risks.
  • Consider Doubling Down:
With totals of 9, 10, or 11 against a weak dealer upcard, doubling down can be effective. Double Down may be advantageous for you.
  • Split Aces and Eights:
Splitting gives you two fresh chances. A pair of 8s is a tough 16—better to split than stay.
  • Set a budget and stick to it
Even the most exciting game can lose its charm if you go over your limit. At ALL INN CASINO, we support responsible gaming.
