A card game in which players compete against each other for the best five-card hand. The most common variant is Texas Hold’em, where each player receives 2 cards and 5 community cards are placed on the table. The goal is to create the best possible five-card hand using any combination of your cards and the community cards. At the end of the hand, players reveal their cards. The player with the strongest five-card combination wins the pot. In case of a tie, the pot is split between players.

Types of Bets

The game includes several betting rounds during which players can bet, call, raise, or fold.

  • Blind Bets (Small Blind and Big Blind) – mandatory bets placed before the cards are dealt
  • Raise – increase the current bet
  • Call – match the current bet
  • Fold – give up your cards and forfeit the pot
  • All-in – the player bets all their chips

Game Flow
  1. Blinds (Blind Bets)
Before the cards are dealt, two players to the left of the dealer place mandatory bets – the Small Blind and the Big Blind. These bets form the initial pot and encourage action.
  2. Dealing the Cards
The dealer gives each player two private cards, known as Hole Cards, which only the player can see.
  3. Pre-flop – First Betting Round
The first betting round begins with the player to the left of the Big Blind. Players can call the Big Blind, raise, or fold.
  4. Flop – Revealing the First Three Community Cards
The dealer places three community cards face-up on the table. These can be used by all players to build their hands. Another round of betting follows.
  5. Turn – The Fourth Community Card
The dealer reveals the fourth card on the table. Another round of betting takes place.
  6. River – The Fifth and Final Community Card
The dealer reveals the last community card. The final round of betting follows.
  7. Showdown – Revealing Cards and Determining the Winner
If more than one player remains after the final betting round, they reveal their cards. The player with the strongest five-card combination using any mix of their hole cards and the community cards wins the pot.

Beginner Tips
  • Don’t stay in every hand
A low pair or disconnected low cards of different suits usually won’t win. If your starting hand is weak, it’s often better to fold early.
  • Bluff smartly, not impulsively

Occasionally betting with a weak hand can pressure opponents into folding better hands. This works best if you've been playing cautiously and appear strong. Bluffing is more effective against less experienced players and should be used sparingly—frequent bluffing will get noticed by skilled opponents.

  • Watch your opponents during betting
Fast bets can indicate confidence, while long hesitation may signal uncertainty. Pay attention to body language and betting rhythm.
  • Avoid raising when you’re first to act
Acting first is a disadvantage because others can adjust based on your actions. It’s often smarter to raise when you're in a later position and have seen how others play their hands.
  • Set a budget and stick to it
Even the most exciting game can lose its charm if you go over your limit. At ALL INN CASINO, we support responsible gaming.
